Atakhanov Azam

Born in 1964 in the city of Dushanbe. He graduated from the Republican Art School in Dushanbe in 1983 and the Moscow Higher Art and Industrial School (former Stroganov) in 1989. He began to take part in art exhibitions since 1988 (Moscow and all-Union exhibitions of young artists, Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh", Moscow, 1988; Republican exhibition of young artists, Dushanbe, 1989). He joined the Union of Artists of the USSR in 1990. Member of the Moscow Union of Artists since 1997. Awarded with diplomas of the Russian Academy of Arts and prizes of the Moscow Union of Artists in painting. Creative trips to Italy, France, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka. From 2004 to 2012 - teaching at the Moscow State Art and Industry Academy. Stroganov at the departments of academic and monumental painting.


Azam Atakhanov has been a participant in many art exhibitions in Russia and abroad since 1988, including in the Russian Museum, St. Petersburg (2014); National Museum of Kazakhstan, Astana (2014); Museum of Modern History of Russia, Moscow (2007); National Museum of Fine Arts of China, Beijing (2006); State Museum of the East, Moscow (2001, 2005, 2010, 2016). Atakhanov's paintings participated in the auctions of Leonid Shishkin Gallery, Sovkom Auction House, Moscow.
