Sergey Bryukhanov

Sergey Bryukhanov is a Russian abstract artist. Born on August 28, 1959 in Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk region, he has lived in Moscow since 2006.

Sergey works mainly with oil painting and collage technique, tries to show light with color and texture combination. He is one of the artists whose artwork has determined the range of artistic and aesthetic quests in the latter half of the 20th century in Russia. Sergey has held more than 30 solo exhibitions and participated in dozens of other exhibition projects, as well as a curator.

His works are reposited in collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and many other museums and art institutes; hundreds of works are in private collections in Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Finland. Sergey Bryukhanov's biography is included in "2000 outstanding artists and designers of the 20th century".
